How we research, write, and update our guides and partner pages.
What our guides are for
Our guides help small and mid-sized business owners understand what a software tool does, who it fits, what it costs, and where it falls short, so they can make a confident decision. We write in plain English for everyday operators, not for software experts.
What we cover
We write about software categories our clients ask about, such as CRMs, email marketing, live chat, loyalty programs, cold outreach, funnels, and restaurant operations, along with general topics like choosing software, setting it up, and managing subscriptions. Many guides cover our partner platforms; others are general and do not mention a partner at all.
How we research
- Pricing, plans, free trials, and features come from the software provider’s own website and documentation.
- Partner pages show the date we last checked those details.
- When we cite outside research or statistics, we link to the original source.
Software providers change pricing and features often. Always confirm current terms on the provider’s website before you buy.
How we label content
- Hypothetical scenarios, such as a sample coffee shop stamp card, are labeled “Illustrative example.” They show how a tool could be used and are not real client results.
- We do not publish fabricated testimonials, ratings, or customer results.
- Affiliate buttons are labeled “Affiliate link.” See our Affiliate Disclosure.
Independence from partners
Affiliate relationships do not decide what we say about a product. Every partner page includes “Check first if” and “Tradeoffs” sections, and partners are listed alphabetically with equal space. Partners do not review or approve our guides before they are published.
Corrections and updates
If you spot something that is out of date or wrong, email hello@mbhwebservices.com with the page link and what needs fixing. We review every report and update the page when a correction is needed.
